Angela Evelyn Bassett has been an American actress since late 1980s. Her work has earned her recognition for her film and TV performance since the 1980s. Her accolades include two Golden Globe Awards, sixteen NAACP Image Awards as well as nominations for Academy Awards and Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett is a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was brought up in Winston-Salem North Carolina by her aunt, who was born in New York New York, is well-known as an actress. Bassett was able to move with her younger older sister St. Petersburg Florida at five years old so that they could be near their mom, who was separated from their father. Bassett saw James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play while she was still in highschool and realized that it was acting she wanted to do. In 1980, Bassett graduated from Yale University New Haven Connecticut with an undergraduate degree in African American studies. She earned a diploma from the Yale School of Drama. In 1997, she got married to Courtney B. Vance who was also an actor. Qualification: B.A. The Yale School of Drama granted an M.A. in Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Bassett back in the year 1980. She was a student at the school following: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for seventh graders, Azalea Middle School for 8th & 9th grades and Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett is currently working in one of the lead characters in the film Ramonda in the action adventure movie i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
